Transfering Domains from Yahoo to GoDaddy
So GoDaddy is a rightwing company that you shouldn't support, but at least they are easier to deal with then some others and they're very stable which is critical in domain world. You just don't want to lose a domain and have to buy it back for $1000.
That said here is how to transfer domains from Yahoo to GoDaddy and save $25/domain per year.
1. Login to both accounts - Godaddy, and Yahoo (Small Business - Domains - Domain Manager).
2. At Goddaddy, purchase a "domain transfer" for each domain that you want to transfer. Should cost around $9 per domain and will include a year of domain name registration.
3. Checkout at GoDaddy. Cough up the hard earned cash.
4. GoDaddy will send you an email for each domain with a transaction id and a security code.
5. Unlock your domains at Yahoo. Get an authorization code for each domain (there is a link to it from Domain Control Panel).
6. In GoDaddy, go to Domain Manager, click on Domains, Pending Transfers, enter the three codes (transaction id, security code, and authorization code) as prompted.
7. Wait a bit. Your domains should appear in GoDaddy. While you wait, it will list them as "Pending Current Registrar Approval".
