"Doing the nasty" just isn't polite conversation, but for LGBT activists of color, laughing about what really happened on Saturday night with your "homegirls" is normal, and being able to engage others in honest discussions about sexuality should be just as normal.
Join us as we address ways to accomplish this by charting some of the effective ways African American, Asian, Hispanic and white LGBT activists have held positive conversations on sexuality in communities of color.
Our guests will include: H. Alexander Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of the National Black Justice Coalition; Lisbeth Meléndez Rivera, Mobilization Coordinator of Freedom to Marry; and Nick Sakurai, Program Coordinator for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Ally Resource Center At American University.
