The current political climate threatens to take away reproductive rights from us all. Presently, there are area women who are denied access to these rights everyday simply because they cannot afford safe, adequate care in the case of a pregnancy that threatens their health or life or comes at a time when they cannot be responsible mothers.
Tallahassee Funding Access Now is a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness to help low-income women in the North Florida area receive the care they need, including abortions. TFAN will be hosting an informational mixer on Saturday evening, April 22, 2006, from 7:30 to 9:30pm.
All are invited as we seek to expand our organization through community awareness.
Come meet local like-minded individuals as we eat, drink and discuss current issues.
The event will be held at 7:30pm in the sanctuary of the Unitarian Universalist Church at 2810 Meridian Rd.
