Progressive Council and Campus Peace Action of UCF are excited to announce
the first Florida College Activist Conference, to be held in
Orlando August 1-3, 2003.
The three day event will include speakers, workshops, and plenty of discussion and exchange of ideas, struggles, and solutions. Whether you are involved in an active organization or looking to start one, this conference is for you. ANY STUDENT ACTIVIST GROUP IS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE!
PURPOSE: The objective of the Florida College Activist Conference is to provide an opportunity for activist training and networking for all student activists in the state of Florida. In addition to training and coalition building, this conference will mark the founding of the Florida College Activist Coalition, a network of students across the state that, through a website, will be able to share resources, events, ideas, and continue to work on joint campaigns. Our hope is that this conference will become an annual event, with regional and local gatherings during the year.
