Starting Date: 02-14-2013 Ending Date: 02-17-2013 Yale University New Haven, Connecticut 06520 United StatesLast year, the Black Solidarity Conference tackled the issue of education and economics in the black community. A major theme within the conversations that took place was the idea of accessing the resources necessary to uplift ourselves and our local communities. This year, BSC was comprised of panels and discussions that looked specifically at perceptions of sexuality as unifiers and dividers of the black community. Our events culminated in a Keynote Address by Dr. Angela Davis, one of America's most provocative and insightful public intellectuals and someone who had much to share on this year's themes.
