Baltimore, Maryland 21218 United States 410-627-7679Association of India's Development, Johns Hopkins University Chapter (AID JHU) is a non-profit, volunteer student organization at JHU that supports grass roots development projects in India. AID JHU is hosting the world-renowned Sarod Maestro Amjad Ali Khan at the Johns Hopkins University on October 3 for an Indian classical music concert. He will be accompanied by his sons, Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, and percussionist Tanmoy Bose on the tabla. The State of Maryland will honor Amjad Ali Khan with the Governor’s Citation award for Outstanding Community Service at a dinner banquet for patrons of AID and the concert.
This concert is a pert of 2 day long Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations by student groups at Hopkins. All funds from it will go towards development projects in India.
