Bio
I am a mother and visionary activist. I have spent my life pioneering solutions for sustainability from a personal to global level.

I have a degree in regional planning, and focus on cross-sector collaboration for holistic community sustainability. My senior project included a zoning ordinance for ecovillages which are currently not allowed based on conventional rural zoning, but offer one of the key solutions for re-localization. I also designed a transportation system that would increase mobility while eliminating most negative impacts associated with transportation. I have a holistic approach to planning in which I consider the human element (psychology/culture/economics) and approach solutions based on what people value/want/need and design how to meet those needs while creating a positive net impact on the planet/world.

I am certified in permaculture design, and a lot of those design principles inform both my work and how I live my life. In general, I operate from a perspective of interconnectedness and rather than approaching life as a linear/isolated process, I integrate and collaborate for the greatest mutual benefit possible.

I am focused on developing and spreading models for community development that are beyond sustainable—creating reciprocal benefits for maximum prosperity for all. My work is informed by the awareness that we can create what we want by focusing on it, and by reframing challenges as opportunities for progress.

I'm in the early stages of developing a company called Convenient Truths which generates and spreads solutions for sustainable progress. I have begun consulting with businesses and organizations offering solutions to help them design their strategic development and increase their exposure. I am also developing programs in-house to help businesses and individuals transition to a more sustainable way of living.

My main focuses right now:

* Implementing a simulation of the "GoLocal Rewards" program at Harmony Festival 6/12-14 read more at www.GoLocal.coop
* Coordinating outreach for the 10th Continental Bioregional Congress at the Farm in TN 10/3-11/09 read more at www.Bioregional-Congress.org
* Facilitating dancing freedom, a shamanic dance practice that supports people to embody their intentions for personal to planetary healing read more at www.DancingFreedom.com
* Identifying an ongoing staff position, ideally within a college or university to support students in being the change

I am always interested in building new partnerships. I am currently working on getting funding for the programs that I am developing, and I am interested in expanding my work to other communities throughout the world.
