This is a campus activist.

Bio

I am in the graduate program in Political Science. I came back to school after working in the construction industry for several years.
My goal now is to teach in a college or University PoliSci department, and to publish papers on liberal causes.
I was an intern for Calpirg and am now a member of the college democrats on the Cal State Long Beach Campus.
I am interested in working with groups who are interested in getting a larger share of Public funds for higher education.
Students in California have had to pay higher and higher tuition rates for each of the last five years, and the state keeps cutting funds for higher education off of their budget foe each of those years. This year, if the state doesn't pass proposition 30 (an tax increase to the wealthy for funding education, the C.U. and C.S.U. systems with have to not only raise tuition again, but will have to cut programs from the campus ciricula. We can't let that happen because rebuilding a new program takes years and years to accomplish.
